With professional designations as a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) and Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE), she brings to EFry a unique blend of expertise in strategy, fundraising, financial oversight, governance, and operations.

During her recent tenure as Chief Operating Officer at the Surrey Hospitals Foundation, Azra helped to propel the organization forward through her visionary leadership and strategic acumen. Beyond her executive responsibilities, Azra is a sought-after speaker and educator, serving as a faculty member at AHP Madison Institute and actively participating in numerous boards and committees that underscore her dedication to innovation and diversity, equity, and inclusion in the sector.

Azra’s contributions to the community and non-profit sector have been recognized by Canada’s Most Powerful Women: Top 100 Award by the Women’s Executive Network in 2021, the Surrey Board of Trade’s Women in Business Not-for-Profit Leader Award in 2020, and the YWCA Metro Vancouver’s Woman of Distinction in the NPO Sector in 2023.
