EFry’s 2026 Annual General Meeting brought together our Board, staff, volunteers, partners, and community members to reflect on a year of meaningful growth and impact. The AGM was an opportunity to recognize the work behind EFry’s programs and services and the collective efforts that help women, children, and families access safety, stability, support, and opportunities to move forward. From housing and community-based services to youth programs, employment and education opportunities, counselling, and legal support, every part of our work contributes to stronger communities.
The AGM also marked an important moment for EFry’s Board of Directors. We’re pleased to welcome Sonia Virk, Mark Wallace, and Hermina Khara as newly elected Board members, bringing valuable experience in law, governance, leadership, business, and community service.
We also recognize the continued leadership of our Board: Genesa Greening, President; Stacey Reyes, Vice President; Taheer Mohamed, Treasurer; Courtney Daws, Secretary; and Directors Kristy Davis, Sandeep Sidhu, Jenifer Lee, Harv Phandal, and Laureen Whyte. Their collective knowledge, dedication, and commitment continue to help guide EFry’s work and support our mission.
As Nicholas Shon concludes his term on the Board, we extend our sincere appreciation for his time, dedication, and service to EFry. His contributions and leadership have been an important part of our journey, and we are grateful for the perspective he has shared with our organization.
As we move forward, we remain committed to listening, growing, and strengthening the supports our communities need. Together, we continue to turn connection into action and create pathways from surviving to thriving.
