EFry’s 2nd Annual Grill & Give Back BBQ Fundraiser Brings Community Together to Support Women and Families.

The Elizabeth Fry Society of Greater Vancouver (EFry) is excited to announce the return of its 2nd Annual Grill & Give Back BBQ Fundraiser, taking place on Sunday, July 26, 2026, at 10:00 am at Picnic Shelters 1 and 2 at Queen’s Park in New Westminster.

Building on the success of last year’s event, Grill & Give Back brings together community members, local businesses, volunteers, and community leaders for a day of food, family fun, live entertainment, and community connection, all in support of EFry’s Maida Duncan Drop-In Centre and programs that promote the mental wellness and well-being of women accessing EFry’s services.

Guests can enjoy a delicious barbecue prepared by the dedicated members of the New Westminster Firefighters Charitable Society, live music, family-friendly activities, community booths, and an energizing Zumba session led by GQ Dance. The event is made possible through the generous support of community partners, local businesses, volunteers, and sponsors who share EFry’s commitment to helping vulnerable women and families thrive.

The fundraiser supports the Maida Duncan Drop-In Centre, a vital community resource that provides meals, clothing, hygiene supplies, referrals, emotional support, and a safe, welcoming space for women and their children facing poverty, homelessness, violence, and other barriers. Funds raised will also support EFry’s mental wellness and support programs that help women build resilience, stability, and brighter futures.
