Saturday Club an After School Program in Greater Vancouver

The JustKids Saturday Club is facilitated every Saturday by 2 counsellors working on a 4:1 counselor/child ratio, providing 16 children residing in our EFry shelter programs the chance to learn life skills, experience fun outings, and enhance social interaction with peers from similar backgrounds.

Saturday Club serves 2 different age groups on alternate Saturdays- Ages 6 to 11yrs and ages 12 to 16 yrs, to provide age-appropriate outings and activities, whilst providing parents the ability to view potential housing, access support services and apply for employment individually.

Some past excursions and activities:

  • Visits to the Vancouver Aquarium and Science World
  • Bear Creek Park pitch and putt and train ride
  • Visit to the Cloverdale Rodeo
  • Bowling at local lanes
  • Positive affirmation Art activity
  • Learning to make healthy meals on a budget

The two counselors write a weekly report outlining the activities, child experience and resources required. Saturday Club breaks for the summer period at the end of June so that the children attending can join our JustKids Blue Sky Summer Day camp program run from the same venue, the Rosewood Amenities Room. The program begins again at the start of the school year in September.

How to sign up:
Express interest to your case worker at Rosewood. They will contact the Supervisor of the program who will send the Registration paperwork to fill out.
