Therapeutic Access Program (TAP)

TAP provides clinical counselling support for families that have a parent or child(ren) that are not currently living in the family home, with a view to strengthening the parent- child relationship. The clinical counsellor works with the parent and child(ren) to strengthen their relationship, improve communication, build trust, and address emotional or relational challenges that may affect their interactions. The counsellor may provide therapeutic interventions during or around the visit to support healthier patterns of interactions and promote the parent-child bond.

Referrals to the program must be made by Child Protection Workers at the Ministry of Children and Family Development (MCFD) for families residing in Burnaby or New Westminster.

The assistance I received from EFry went beyond practical support-it gave me hope and reminded me that I wasn’t alone. Their compassionate, client-centered approach helped me feel seen, heard, and supported during a time when I truly needed it.
