ACCW Community Integration Support

EFry’s ACCW Community Reintegration Program supports individuals incarcerated at Alouette Correctional Centre for Women as they prepare for a successful transition back into the community. Through individual and group-based support, the program helps participants plan for release, address practical needs, and build stronger connections to housing, income, identification, health, legal, and community-based supports.

The program serves women and gender-diverse individuals at ACCW who are preparing for release and would benefit from support navigating community reintegration. EFry’s Reintegration Worker provides respectful, trauma-informed, and non-judgmental support that recognizes each participant’s goals, strengths, and circumstances.

Through the program, participants receive support with release planning, securing or replacing government identification, accessing income assistance or other benefits, completing housing applications, and connecting with community resources. The Reintegration Worker may also support participants with referrals to mental health, substance use recovery, legal assistance, EFry programs, and other community-based services. These supports help participants leave custody with a clearer plan and stronger connections in place.

The goal of the ACCW Community Reintegration Program is to promote safer, more stable, and more supported transitions from custody to community. By helping participants access practical supports and build positive community connections before release, the program works to reduce barriers, support long-term stability, and promote successful reintegration. EFry’s approach is trauma-informed, gender-responsive, culturally safe, and grounded in dignity, choice, and community connection.
